Our "Doggy"

Most people have a family doggy or two. Meet ours. Josie lives on our doorstep. She hops over the creek or out the front gate when she fancies a dalliance with others her kind or she simply feels the need to explore.

Today her curiosity extended no further than Issy's window. She kept popping up to see what all the fuss was about. My latest recipe for the newspaper is Almond Jam Drops (new version - I made some changes) and Josie decided she wanted to be part of the photo shoot.

She doesn't bark, she doesn't bite, she doesn't hunt. She does hiss, she does box and she definitely alerts me to any visitors, be they animal or human. She's our funny "doggy" and we feel blessed she chooses to live with us.

  2. Mariana, I absolutely love this pic, impossible to look at without ending up with a huge grin on your face. I have been meaning to comment for a while now, you are a kindred spirit.

  3. Thanks Anons. The funny part is, the focus was meant to be on the biscuits! But Josie in typical Josie style - always steals the show. x

  4. Hi Mariana,

I just found your blog through Down to Earth, and I HAD to comment to say that that is one very adorable photo!

I wish I had Josie as a visitor instead of some roaming cats *sighs*

    1. Aww thanks Carly. My editor is thinking of using this picture for the newspaper!! I said to her 'hang on a minute - the biscuits are meant to be the focus". She laughed and said she'd reserve the photo at a time when they can 'interview' Josie. She's made quite the impact.

Don't think roaming cats would last round here for very long. One thumping Roo Poo has seen to that!

      Cheers Mariana
